Earthquake in China
A devastating earthquake hit Yushu County in Qinghai province in China earlier this month. Latest reports estimate that over 700 people have died and many more are missing or injured.
We’ve seen a succession of terrible natural disasters in recent months and once again the Pearson Foundation has set up a Pearson fund to support the relief effort in Qinghai. Pearson will match any donations made by Pearson employees.
We’ve chosen to support the Bainian Vocational School which is based in Beijing. The funds we raise will help sponsor young people from the areas affected by the earthquake to go to Beijing and study at the school.

BusinessObjects
The BusinessObjects program will cease after April 30, 2010, and all exams will be turned off. SAP owns the BusinessObjects business and has decided to merge their testing and certification operations into one program, with SAP delivering BusinessObjects qualifications.
There are an additional four exams being built for the SAP program to cater for this, and these exams will be $500USD per exam. Any candidate holding an existing BusinessObjects payment voucher should contact their supplier for information on its use.
Candidates in mid-certification are being contacted by SAP, who will advise them on which of the new exams will complete their certification. Any queries on this should be addressed to the candidates’ SAP regional office, and more details are available at www.sap.com/services/education/index.epx.

VMware Instructor Rewards Referral Program Passes the Halfway Point
